Lightweight, sturdy and functional; the minimalistic design of this hunting knife, makes it a fixed knife that you can always carry with you. Thanks to the milled metal and lack of handles, the weight is very low. The knives from the Buck Paklite series are often used as back-up hunting knives, but of course, they perform great as well as a primary hunting knife.   
  


The entire knife is made of 420HC steel. It has ridges in the right places, to provide amazing grip for a knife without scales. If you are looking for more grip, you can easily make your own handle with 550 paracord. This increases grip and comfort. And as a bonus, the knife is adjusted to your own taste!   
  


The blade has a hollow ground edge and is very suitable for the precision jobs for which a hunter needs it.

Ich besitze das Messer nun  seit 3 Jahren und nutze es als EDC Messer, was gut machbar ist, passt es in eine normale Hosentasche und liegt dort sicher und verschlossen in der Scheide. Die Werksschärfe des Skinners ist gut. Nicht so scharf wie ein Mora, aber immer noch sehr scharf. Stahl, Schliff und Art sind ja auch anders, wobei der 420 HC Stahl von Buck wirklich gut ist und nichts mit Standardstählen zu tun hat, die man bei Messern im niedrigen Preissegment oft sieht. Die Schärfe bleibt einem bei vernünftiger Handhabung lange erhalten und das Messer lässt sich zudem mit einem Keramikstab gut nachschärfen. Das Messer besitzt keine Ummantelung am Griff, was es zwar praktisch, aber eventuelle für manche Hände (abhängig von dem was man tut) unangenehm macht. Ich selbst kann mich nicht beklagen. Weiterer Pluspunkt: Made in USA für ein tolles Preisleistungsverhältnis.

Beautifully made and perfectly sharp. Some people have said it was bigger than they expected but I thought it was just the right size, maybe they have small hands lol. Comes with a nice sheath, overall rugged compact design which should last a lifetime.
