The **Buck Knives Saunter** is a modern Traditional. That is to say, it's a knife designed in the spirit of classic slipjoint pocket knives, but with a modern twist.




The Buck Saunter 0250BKS1, Clip Point, Black Micarta, pocket knife is a nice EDC knife in the colour black. With its blade length of 6,4 cm, it's a compact pocket knife that effortlessly fits inside your pocket. You can also notice this in the weight of 60 g. You'll barely notice you're carrying it with you!



You open the Buck with two hands. To make this easier, there's a nail nick which gives you a little extra grip using your fingernail. This pocket knife is not equipped with a full lock, only with a slipjoint mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from snapping shut during normal use. However, if you press on the spine of the blade, the knife will shut.



## Blade made of 154CM steel
The blade of the Buck Saunter 0250BKS1, Clip Point, Black Micarta, pocket knife is made of 154CM steel, an American type of steel that is very corrosion resistant and retains its sharpness well. Moreover, for a stainless steel, it is quite tough. Many knife steels were actually developed for other applications, and this is the case for 154CM too. It was originally designed for use in jet engines. It was knife maker Bob Loveless who made 154CM popular for use as a knife steel in the 1970s.



The blade of this knife is enhanced with a 'satin finish'. This is a chic and tasteful finish that is very popular.



## Micarta handle

The handle of this Buck Saunter is made of micarta and measures 9,5 cm in length. Micarta is a great material for pocket knife handles. This material is grippy, relatively lightweight and it looks very cool. It is composed of fabric fibres and synthetic resin. The resulting layers often even make micarta look a bit like wood. However, it is a very stable and strong material.

Honestly, not not was expected from a knife with a price tag of 100+ euros. Blade centering is terrible and cannot be fixed easily, micarta scales finish is worse than some brand Chinese knife that costs 3 times less. Probably, a defected item that should not have passed the QC. Good concept of a modern slip-joint but really poor realisation. Not worth it, unfortunately. 

Excellente prise en main pour ce petit couteau qui donne l’impression d’être plus grand qu’il n’est. Le micarta est d’aspect brut et le tranchant tient très longtemps
