To With the Ochsenkopf Spalt-Fix splitting axe 248 E-2501 you will have the best results with little effort. It is the result of the wedge-shaped blade. Its 2.5 kilo head has a devastating impact as soon as it hits the block. Even though a splitting axe doesn't really have to be sharp this axe is razor-sharp. The edge is even polished! This axe comes with a leather sheath to protect the cutting edge.

Great Axe. Handle length and the weight of the head are well balanced. Not as sharp as I'd like but the weight makes up for this. Delivery was excellent.

A decent mid weight bruiser, nicely balanced weight and a good wedge shape for all your regular splitting needs. The handle would be better if it was stained and oiled instead of painted and varnished in my humble opinion. Good enough at this price all the same.
