This stone is more coarse than the old DC4 and hence I don’t like it as much because I can’t polish the blade. The fine side is still pretty coarse in my opinion and I prefer the CC4 stone. This is good when your blade is damaged because it will cut fast but if you’re looking for a stone to maintain and polish your blade then the CC4 is better
