Miyabi 6000MCT
The Miyabi 6000MCT series is the perfect blend of ultimate functionality and unique aesthetics. The blade is crafted from ice-hardened Microcarbide Cryodur steel, folded between two layers of other steel. This steel is hand-hammered, a technique known as Tsuchime, which gives the blade a traditional look. This textured finish also ensures that vegetables and other ingredients are less likely to stick to the blade.
Features of Miyabi 6000MCT kitchen knives
The Miyabi series differ mainly in terms of steel type, finish and appearance. The Miyabi 6000MCT series stands out for its hammered Tsuchime finish, whilst the Miyabi 5000FCD series is recognisable by its etched damascus blade with a strong contrast between the layers.
Miyabi 6000MCT handle
The handles of the 6000MCT series are made of stabilised cocobolo wood. Numerous layers of cocobolo wood are glued together like pakkawood. The ergonomics and balance are well-thought-out, which makes this knife also very comfortable to use over a long time. The dark cocobolo wood gives the knives a classic and stylish look. The coloured detail at the bolster and pommel, along with the mosaic pin, complete this stunning knife. Of all the Miyabi series, the 6000MCT series features handles that are just a touch thicker than the rest. As a result, you have more grip, and it means these knives are also great for those with large hands.
From the all-round Miyabi 6000MCT santoku to the elegant Miyabi 6000MCT gyutoh, every knife in the series combines excellent ergonomics with high-quality materials and a distinctive Japanese finish.
